Job summary

Workday is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer for anonymization in Dublin. You will lead the new capability to provide anonymized datasets for research, benchmarking, and evaluation across the AI ecosystem.

You’ll partner with external researchers and internal stakeholders to codify privacy-utility trade-offs and drive platform architecture. You will oversee a team of engineers, own the technical direction, and represent Workday externally while aligning with Product Legal and

Qualifications

10+ years hands-on experience in Machine Learning Engineering, Data Science, or applied research.
Privacy-preserving ML expertise in differential privacy, group anonymization, or synthetic data generation.
Expert-level Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
Experience architecting large-scale data pipelines using Spark or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Lead the anonymization capability development, setting architecture and roadmap for production-ready platform.
Drive applied privacy research and close linkage-attack gap work.
Build and evaluate anonymization models, calibrating privacy vs utility.
Lead the anonymization group, establish patterns, and define partner interfaces.
