Job summary

RECRUITERS is seeking a Software Engineer for Distributed Systems & Network Infrastructure (C++ | Go | Rust). This is a 9-month contract for Ireland-based remote candidates, with a pro rata annual salary of €77,000 or a daily rate of €390.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise large-scale distributed systems and traffic security platforms.
• Work with networking technologies including Envoy, HAProxy, IPVS, eBPF and WAF.
• Develop high-performance software using C++, Go, Rust or similar languages.
• Investigate and resolve complex networking, traffic and production incidents.
• Modernise legacy systems while maintaining reliability.
• Improve system performance, scalability, security and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, code quality, automated testing and documentation.
• Maintain and improve runbooks and collaborate with infra engineering teams.
