Job summary
NTT DATA is seeking an experienced DB2 for z/OS Systems Programmer to join our DB2 Support Team on a fully remote basis for the UK and Europe. You will deliver technical leadership and hands-on management of a large DB2 for z/OS environment across multiple subsystems.
You will collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security, while guiding upgrades, DR planning, and technology migrations.
Qualifications
- Typically 8 to 15+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe Systems Programming with a strong focus on DB2 for z/OS administration and support.
- Proven experience supporting large-scale enterprise DB2 environments with multiple subsystems.
- Hands-on experience with DB2 installation, migration, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or mission-critical enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 for z/OS environments.
- Support a large-scale enterprise DB2 infrastructure with multiple subsystems.
- Plan and execute DB2 version upgrades, migrations, and maintenance implementations.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for applications using DB2.
- Ensure stability, integrity, availability, and performance of DB2 databases.
- Support and manage DDF and distributed DB2 connectivity.
- Maintain OLTP environments with CICS and DB2.
- Monitor performance and implement tuning recommendations.
