Job summary

Sonata Software North America Inc. is seeking a Data Service Engineer (Azure Data) to collaborate with enterprise customers in designing, deploying, optimizing, modernizing, and supporting data platforms on Microsoft Azure.

You will guide customers through analytics modernization, data engineering, governance, and real-time analytics initiatives. The role requires deep Azure Data expertise, including Data Lake Storage Gen2, Synapse, Fabric, and ADF, with strong scripting in Python/PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise (300–400 level) in Azure Data Platform and related services.
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise data platforms on Azure.
• Ability to implement data governance, security, and cost-optimized solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor for Azure Data Platform solutions and lead workshops/architectural reviews.
• Design and implement enterprise-scale data architectures and ingestion pipelines.
• Migrate on-premises workloads to Azure and enable AI-ready data foundations.
• Apply governance, security, RBAC and data protection measures across platforms.
• Deliver architecture runbooks and mentor customer teams on Azure Data services.
