Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking an Engineering Manager for Application Security (EMEA) to lead our security engineering team in a remote role covering the Ireland region. You will drive security programs across application and cloud security, mentor engineers, and coordinate with product teams to ensure secure software delivery across Grafana’s SaaS offerings.

Qualifications

Strong engineering background with ability to engage in technical conversations and challenge teams to sound technical decisions.
Experience running a security engineering team and delivering security programs in cloud-based SaaS environments.
Security mindset with emphasis on automation, guardrails and enabling security.
Familiarity securing and operating in public Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Lead our application security team covering application security, cloud security, and internal tooling development.
Lead 1st and 3rd party vulnerability management, including coordinated disclosure with external reporters and embargoed fixes.
Define, optimize, and implement the engineering strategy in concert with security leadership and stakeholders.
Regular 1:1s, coaching and mentoring to keep the team motivated and high performing.
Collaborate with engineering leaders to influence wider product strategy, roadmaps and designs.
Engage actively with significant incidents, including preparation, simulation, response, and customer communications.
Review design documents for upcoming projects and help break down work into tasks.
