Job summary

Prometric is seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team, focusing on security posture validation, application penetration testing, and vulnerability management across Prometric’s network.

The role requires strong SAST/DAST experience, MITRE ATT&CK familiarity, and at least five years in application security, with exposure to DevOps/CI/CD. Remote work available for Ireland, 37.5 hours weekly, and opportunities to influence security across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information security, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of cybersecurity work experience.
• Experience with DAST/SAST tools.
• Application/product security assurance experience.
• Experience creating threat models for web applications.
• Familiarity with DevOps workflows and CI/CD.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining security controls.
• Experience with infrastructure vulnerability assessments.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Triage, deliver, and support the DAST/SAST program and tools.
• Onboard apps and repositories, maintain scan coverage, coordinate remediation.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, engineering on secure design.
• Automate discovery and fixing of issues via security tool stack.
• Support vulnerability management and endpoint config assessments.
• Develop and maintain application security policies and procedures.
• Create and update threat models for core applications.
• Coordinate with external pen testers and security partners.
• Provide incident response support and stay current on threats.
