Job summary

Prometric is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. You will drive security posture validation, conduct application penetration testing, and manage vulnerabilities across Prometric’s global network. You will work with development teams on SAST/DAST programs and secure coding practices within CI/CD pipelines.

You should have strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, web development and networking basics, and 3+ years in application security. Remote Ireland role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/InfoSec or related field.
• 3+ years of cybersecurity work experience.
• Experience with DAST/SAST tools.
• Application/product security assurance experience.
• Experience creating threat models for web applications.
• Familiarity with DevOps workflows and CI/CD.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Exposure to secure AI engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for triage, delivery, and ongoing support for the DAST/SAST program and tools.
• Onboard applications and repositories to security testing platforms and coordinate remediation with owners.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, engineering, and information security to design and remediate security controls.
• Ensure vulnerability pipelines are tracked, communicated, and optimized; help automate issue discovery and fixing.
• Assist vulnerability management with assessments and audits of endpoint security configurations.
• Develop and maintain application security policies, standards, and procedures.
