Job summary

Carbery Group is seeking a Relief Utilities Operator for Ballineen, Cork. The role involves operating and monitoring boilers, CHP, water systems, cooling, compressed air, and energy-recovery systems to ensure a safe and continuous supply.

You will respond to alarms, perform routine tests and documentation, and support emergency response and maintenance activities. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial operations, with a technical qualification and knowledge of SCADA/HMI, SOPs and safety

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification or demonstrated aptitude in industrial operations.
• Technical knowledge of industrial utilities and process operations.
• 2+ years of experience in process/utilities or production environments.
• Familiarity with SCADA/HMI, sampling and laboratory tests, SOPs and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boilers, CHP, water, cooling, compressed air and energy-recovery systems to maintain safe supply.
• Operate wastewater, DAF and treatment processes to ensure compliant discharge.
• Perform routine sampling, rounds, logs and checks with accuracy and frequency.
• Respond to alarms and take corrective action to address safety or quality issues.
• Coordinate maintenance work safely and support site security and emergency response.
