Job summary

Compass Group Ireland is seeking a Relief Sous Chef for a full-time role, contracted to 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, across multiple Dublin sites. You will work alongside a passionate team to deliver exceptional, fresh-food experiences and play a key role in maintaining high standards and a positive kitchen culture.

The ideal candidate will be innovative, customer‑focused and capable of supporting the team to meet budget and quality targets while upholding health, safety and hygiene

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers
• Identify opportunities to improve food service and menu concepts
• Create a positive kitchen environment that is welcoming and supportive
• Assist the team in delivering innovative food concepts to customers
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image
• Assist with ordering, stock control and reducing food waste
• Oversee kitchen hygiene and cleaning responsibilities
• Support the team to manage budgets and help meet financial targets
• Ensure compliance with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health & Safety standards
• Contribute to a collaborative, efficient kitchen operation

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Relief Sous Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Compass Group Ireland on a full time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, across multiple Dublin sites.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food service
• Creating a positive kitchen environment where your team feel welcomed and supported
• Supporting the team in delivering our tasty food concepts to our customers
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Supporting the team with ordering food, stock control and controlling food waste
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
• Supporting the team to manage budgets and successfully meet financial targets
• Complying with Food Handling and Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health and Safety regulations
