Job summary

Galway Childcare Committee is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for children in our care, fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

You will develop weekly lesson plans, maintain a developmentally appropriate setting, collaborate with staff and communicate effectively with management and parents, while ensuring children's basic needs are met and safety is prioritized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience working in childcare is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively to management and parents, and maintain confidentiality of records and information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute weekly lesson plans.
• Provide a developmentally appropriate environment based on learning and growth.
• Effectively communicate and work with fellow staff to provide a cohesive working environment.
• Assist with children's basic needs.
• Supervise play activities.
