Title: Relief Cook

Reporting to: Centre Manager

Hourly Rate Range: €19.10 to €24.72 (Please note that offers are typically made at the beginning to mid-range of the advertised salary, based on skills and experience)

Job Purpose: The preparation and service of meals to approx. 20 older clients within St. Francis Day Care Centre, Blackpool, Co. Cork.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Requisitioning of all foodstuffs and materials for the kitchen.
  • Preparation, cooking and servicing of both raw and cooked food.
  • Portioning and packing of both raw and cooked meals.
  • Scheduling, rotation and allocation of foodstuffs.
  • Kitchen management including hygiene control and safety procedures, including HACCP.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Person Specification:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Experience of menu planning, portion control and food ordering.
  • Knowledge and experience of hygiene control (HACCP Procedures).
  • A focus on minimising waste and delivering value for money.
