The Role:
We are currently looking to recruit a Relief Care Assistant (Relief Hours)to join our Southwest Children & Family team in Killorglin Community Care Centre - Co. Kerry. Killorglin Community Care Centre offers a wide range of services for adults and older persons in the Killorglin and greater mid Kerry area. This includes a laundry service, transport service and day care services that take place in the centre, in house meals and a meal on wheels service. These activities include social, physical and educational programmes aimed at addressing the needs of our clients. The centre is open Monday to Friday and can cater for up to 16 clients per day.
The primary purpose of this role is to develop and deliver a programme of activities for clients in the centre on a daily basis, providing for the personal, physical, emotional and social development of the individual. The post holder also delivers personal care to clients and works closely with management to ensure that the needs of our clients are being catered for on a daily basis. This role will be for a fixed funded period but is hoped to become permanent subject to future funding.
