Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Killorglin/Tralee area is seeking a Healthcare Assistant/Carer to support clients at home. Roles include personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping and medication prompts, with travel between client visits and 24/7 local on-call support.

We offer free QQI Level 5 training, full induction, uniform, Garda vetting and career progression to supervisor or coordinator roles. Right to work in Ireland required; driving licence not mandatory but beneficial.

Qualifications

• EU/EEA citizenship or unrestricted right to work in Ireland.
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support is desirable; if not, we will support you to complete it.

Responsibilities

• Delivering personal care including support with mobility, dressing, and continence care with dignity and respect at all times.
• Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Providing medication prompts and maintaining accurate, timely records.
• Travel between client visits within your local area.
• Observing client wellbeing and escalating any concerns promptly to the local office management.
• Building a professional, trusted relationship with your client and their family.

What the Role Involves

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly rates up to €18.53. Premium rates for weekends, bank holidays, qualifications, and length of service, your pay grows with you.
• Travel between client visits in your local area using your own vehicle - mileage fully reimbursed.

• EU/EEA citizenship or an unrestricted right to work in Ireland is required.
• A driving licence is not required for this role but is beneficial.
