Job summary

MedForce Recruitment is seeking an Agency Nurse to provide compassionate, person-centred care in a residential Intellectual Disability service. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support adults with complex healthcare needs, ensuring dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include nursing care, medication administration, PEG feeding, catheter care, wound care, and accurate documentation. Strong communication and clinical judgement are essential; CPR training and a full driving

Qualifications

• Active NMBI registration is required.
• Experience in Intellectual Disability, Residential, Community, or Adult Nursing.
• Competent in PEG feeding, catheter care, medication administration, and wound care.
• Strong communication, clinical judgement, and organisational skills.
• Up-to-date Manual Handling and CPR (or willingness to obtain).
• Full driving licence desirable.

Agency Nurse – ID Residential Service

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Agency Nurse to provide high-quality, person-centred care within a residential Intellectual Disability service. You’ll support adults with complex healthcare needs while working as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote their health, wellbeing, dignity, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, person-centred nursing care.
• Administer medications, PEG feeds, enemas, and provide wound care.
• Perform female intermittent catheterisation and manage suprapubic catheters.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including MARs and nursing notes.

Essential Requirements

Desirable

• Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Knowledge of HIQA Standards and residential disability services.
