Job summary

Macfarlane Packaging is seeking a Regional Business Manager for our Irish Distribution Centre, based near Rathcoole, Co. Dublin.

You will lead sales, procurement and logistics with P&L accountability, shaping the regional business plan and driving sustainable growth. You will manage multi-functional teams, influence senior stakeholders and deliver customer-focused improvements while ensuring regulatory and safety standards across the site.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a sales-led distribution, logistics or supply chain environment.
• Experience managing multi-functional teams across sales, operations and procurement.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing P&L performance.
• Demonstrable ability to drive growth, improve performance and deliver against targets.
• Hands-on leadership style; comfortable operating strategically and operationally.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Strong decision-making capability; autonomous working style.
• Experience developing, coaching and leading high-performing teams.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall performance of the site with full accountability for P&L, sales growth and operational delivery.
• Develop and implement a clear business plan aligned to regional and group strategy.
• Drive commercial performance across new business, account development and customer retention.
• Lead and integrate core functions including sales, procurement and logistics to deliver consistent results.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Analyse financial and operational data to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with central sales and national accounts teams to maximise regional opportunities and ensure customer-focused culture.
• Lead, coach and develop your management and sales team, embedding a high-performance culture.
• Oversee recruitment, succession planning and talent development across the site.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, operational and people-related standards.
