Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a Regional Maintenance Technician to travel across Dublin depots, installing and refreshing showroom displays, performing general maintenance, and ensuring safe, welcoming environments for staff and customers.

The role requires a valid UK/Irish driving licence, practical experience in shopfitting or carpentry, and a proactive approach to health & safety. You will work across multiple locations with a strong focus on quality and presentation.

Qualifications

• Full UK/Irish driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
• Proven knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
• Experience in kitchen fitting, general maintenance, fit-out, shopfitting, carpentry or similar roles.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise across locations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Desire for continuous personal and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Travel to depots across the region to install and update showroom displays.
• Refresh showroom projects and maximise sales opportunities.
• Carry out general depot maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, and fixtures replacement.
• Assemble and install furniture and office equipment and maintain facilities.
• Inspect depot facilities and report defects or hazards.
• Purchase maintenance materials as approved by the Depot Manager.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations at all times.

What we’re looking for:

• Full UK/Irish driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.

• Previous experience in kitchen fitting,general maintenance, fit-out, shopfitting, carpentry, or similar practical roles.

• Ability to effectively multitask and prioritise workloads across multiple locations.

What you’ll be doing:

• Travel to depots across the region to install, update, and relocate showroom displays in line with company standards.

• Carry out showroom refresh projects, ensuring displays are presented to an excellent standard and maximise sales opportunities.

• Complete general depot maintenance tasks as required, including:

• Minor carpentry repairs

• Painting and touch-up work

• Replacing damaged fixtures, fittings, shelving, and display units

• Assembling and installing furniture and office equipment

• Maintaining storage, warehouse, and staff facilities

• Conduct regular inspections of depot facilities and report any defects or hazards.

• Purchase maintenance materials and supplies where required and approved by the Depot Manager.

• Work in line with Health & Safety Regulations at all times to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for customers and employees.
