Job summary

Dawsongroup TCS Ireland is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to cover Naas and surrounding areas, specialising in refrigeration and temperature-controlled equipment. You will diagnose faults on blast freezers and cold stores, perform preventative maintenance and advise customers on operation and service needs.

You will hold F-Gas certification, relevant electrical and refrigeration qualifications, and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must have field service experience in refrigeration or temperature-controlled equipment.
• Strong fault finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately and maintain van stock records.

About This Role

Are you an experienced Service Engineer, Refrigeration Engineer or Field Service Engineer looking for your next opportunity? Our Service Engineer role with Dawsongroup TCS Ireland, based in Naas, will see you working across blast freezers, cold stores and tempering units, helping customers keep critical equipment operating reliably.

• Attend customer sites to diagnose breakdowns, rectify faults and arrange remedial action where required.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits in line with schedules agreed by the Service Department.
• Complete site surveys, support installations and provide operating guidance to customers where appropriate.
• Identify recurring equipment failures and report trends promptly to help improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Participate in the 24 hour call out rota and work away from home when required to support customers.

About You

You will bring previous experience from a relevant engineering or refrigeration environment, alongside the qualifications needed to work safely and effectively with temperature-controlled equipment. You will be comfortable working independently on customer sites, taking ownership of problems and keeping customers and colleagues informed.

• F-Gas certification
• A relevant electrical qualification and refrigeration qualification
• A full driving licence is essential due to the field-based nature of the position.
• Previous relevant service engineering or refrigeration experience, with a practical approach to fault finding and problem solving.
• Good organisation and communication skills, including completing paperwork and maintaining accurate van stock records.
