Job Description
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

HR Policy & Strategy: Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing HR policies, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and legislation. Assist with recruitment, resource planning, succession planning, and role design. Manage training programs and foster positive employee relations. Ensure compliance with all employment laws.

HR Service Delivery: Oversee HR service delivery and contribute to employee engagement. Serve as the main HR contact for all employee queries. Maintain HR documentation, including training records and performance reviews. Implement performance feedback processes and support Line Managers. Track all types of leave and absence. Provide guidance on HR best practices and employment law. Support handling employee relations issues like disciplinaries and grievances. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and staff wellbeing.

Recruitment & Onboarding: Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes. Assist in developing job descriptions. Manage onboarding and offboarding, including exit interviews.

Health & Safety: Implement and ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy. Support scheduling staff Health & Safety training.

General Responsibilities: Support organisational development and employee engagement. Uphold confidentiality and promote equality and inclusion. Maintain accurate HR files in line with GDPR. Assist in compiling management reports.

Skills & Essential Criteria: Excellent knowledge of HR and employment legislation. Good ICT skills and knowledge of GDPR. Understanding of independent advocacy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships. Third-level qualification in HR or equivalent experience. Excellent IT literacy (CRM, Microsoft Office). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong administrative skills and attention to detail. Commitment to the values of Sage Advocacy.
