Job summary

Merchants Quay Ireland seeks a Rehabilitation & Integration Worker to establish and deliver a Midlands-based rehabilitation and aftercare service across Laois, Offaly, Longford and Westmeath. You will work from Tullamore and coordinate with the Regional Manager to implement recovery-focused supports.

The role requires qualification in social care (Level 7+), MI/CBT training, and experience in addiction services, with a focus on person-centred care and independent care planning.

Qualifications

• Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) and CBT.
• 2 years’ relevant work experience in addiction, community development, health or related fields.
• Understanding of National Drugs Strategy, Substance Misuse Strategy, and National Drug Rehabilitation Framework.
• Full clean driver’s license to drive company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide reintegration and aftercare supports for clients in the Midlands region.
• Offer education, information, advocacy and family support in conjunction with the Family support worker.
• Develop and support a Rehabilitation Group and related activities.
• Carry out initial assessments to establish client support needs and care plans.
• Risk assess and engage in one-to-one or lone working where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to monthly/quarterly reports.
