Overview

Your mission

Responsibilities
  • To meet and greet patients and visitors to the practice in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Ensure patients are checked in and all essential documentation is completed and confidentially filed
  • Answer all incoming calls and deal with queries as appropriate
  • Responding to patient and client requests and directing them to the appropriate person
  • Scheduling appointments for patients, doctors and nurses using our internal systems
  • Prepare and update patient lists and extract patient notes when required
  • Filing of medical notes, letters, test results and other correspondence
  • Register new patients on the computer system
  • Ordering office supplies, stationery & equipment
  • Opening and distribution of post
  • Understand the usage of the practice email and internet system
  • Assist in the opening, closing, and securing of the building at the start and end of the working day
  • Support the administration function in a range of duties
  • Supporting Physicians with queries
  • Other related duties commensurate with the role and the qualification as requested from time to time
Qualifications
  • Deal with your work in a confidential, polite, and professional manner
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent IT skills including all MSOffice packages
  • Strong time management skills
  • Work well as part of a team to provide a quality service
  • Work with great accuracy and attention to detail in particular when dealing with all patient records
  • Able to work in a self-directed manner and is motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to be flexible as and when required, have a “can do” attitude
