Job summary

Sodexo Belmullet, Mayo, is seeking a Laboratory Analyst for full-time work in our on-site team. The role covers sampling, analysis, radiation monitoring, and validation of methods, with a strong focus on data integrity and quality management.

The ideal candidate brings a science degree and 1–2 years’ GMP/GLP experience, along with hands-on work with HPLC and GC. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3rd Level Qualification in a Science Discipline, preferably Chemistry related.
• Experience in GMP/GLP environment is required.
• Experience with Analytical Equipment HPLC and GC is expected.
• Knowledge of Data Integrity from a laboratory perspective.

Responsibilities

• Sampling and analysis responsibilities.
• Radiation monitoring duties.
• Mercury, benzene and flammable gas monitoring.
• Drafting and reviewing SOPs, protocols, training modules and investigations.
• Reviewing and interpreting test results.
• Trend analysis and investigations into out-of-limit results.
• Validation of equipment and test methods.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and quality standards.

What you'll do:

• Responsible for sampling and analysis.
• Radiation monitoring
• Mercury, benzene and flammable gas monitoring
• Draft and review documentation -SOPs, protocols, training modules, investigations, reports, and deviations.
• Reviews and interprets test results
• Trending of results and preform investigations into adverse or out of limit results.
• Validation of equipment and test methods.
• Adhering to all company standards in the areas of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies
• Ensure good housekeeping and good laboratory practices
• Work with team, Supervisors, Quality Manager and Laboratory Manager to ensure compliance to Quality Management System

What you'll bring:

• 3rd Level Qualification in a Science Discipline, preferably Chemistry related.
• 1-2 Years’ experience working as an Analyst in a GMP/GLP environment.
• 1-2 Years’ experience of working with a range of Analytical Equipment specifically HPLC and GC and well as other laboratory techniques.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Data Integrity from Laboratory perspective.
• Excellent communication, organization, time-management and teamwork skills
