Job summary

Belmullet, Mayo-based laboratory analyst role within Sodexo focuses on environmental and water sampling, radiation monitoring, and analytical method validation. You will draft SOPs, review results, and ensure Data Integrity in a GMP/GLP setting.

The position requires 3rd level science qualification and 1–2 years of lab experience, with strong attention to safety and quality standards. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 3rd Level Qualification in a Science Discipline, preferably Chemistry related.
• 1–2 years’ experience as an Analyst in a GMP/GLP environment.
• Experience with analytical equipment (HPLC and GC) and other laboratory techniques.
• Good knowledge of Data Integrity from a Laboratory perspective.
• Excellent communication, organization, time-management and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Sampling and analysis across environmental monitoring, water sampling and radiation monitoring.
• Draft and review documentation – SOPs, protocols, training modules, investigations, reports, and deviations.
• Review and interpret test results; trend data and investigate adverse or out-of-control results.
• Validate equipment and test methods; ensure safety, housekeeping and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team, Supervisors, Quality Manager and Laboratory Manager to ensure QMS compliance.

What you'll do:

• Responsible for sampling and analysis.
  • Environmental monitoring
  • Water sampling
  • Radiation monitoring
  • Mercury, benzene and flammable gas monitoring
  • Draft and review documentation –SOPs, protocols, training modules, investigations, reports, and deviations.
  • Reviews and interprets test results
  • Trending of results and preform investigations into adverse or out of limit results.
  • Validation of equipment and test methods.
  • Adhering to all company standards in the areas of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies
  • Ensure good housekeeping and good laboratory practices
  • Work with team, Supervisors, Quality Manager and Laboratory Manager to ensure compliance to Quality Management System

What you'll bring:

• 3rd Level Qualification in a Science Discipline, preferably Chemistry related.
  • 1-2 Years’ experience working as an Analyst in a GMP/GLP environment.
  • 1-2 Years’ experience of working with a range of Analytical Equipment specifically HPLC and GC and well as other laboratory techniques.
