Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an experienced RCSA Senior Consultant to support the ongoing execution, governance, and enhancement of the RCSA Program in Ireland. You will focus on metrics, data analytics, MI, and reporting to deliver high‑quality insights for decision‑making.

Responsibilities include producing recurring and ad hoc reporting, validating data from ServiceNow and other systems, and advancing RCSA metrics, KPIs, and KRIs.

Qualifications

  • Experience within Operational Risk, Risk Management, Controls, Audit, or Compliance functions.
  • Understanding of Risk and Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) methodologies and governance.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow, Fusion, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Financial services industry experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and produce meaningful insights.
  • Experience creating management reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and executive‑level presentations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with data visualization and reporting tools preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting governance committees, risk reporting, or regulatory reporting activities.
  • Accurate and timely production of recurring reporting deliverables.
  • Meaningful analysis that provides actionable insights and supports risk‑based decision making.
  • Effective management of reporting schedules and governance deliverables.
  • Continuous improvement of reporting quality, automation, and efficiency.
  • Strong stakeholder feedback and partnership across the RCSA program.

  • Extract, validate, and analyze data from ServiceNow and other source systems to identify trends, themes, emerging risks, and areas requiring management attention.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of RCSA metrics, KPIs, KRIs, and governance reporting.
  • Track, manage, and coordinate reporting deliverables to ensure completion in line with agreed timelines and governance requirements.
  • Perform data quality reviews, investigate anomalies, and partner with data owners to resolve issues.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, Business Unit Risk Committees, and other governance forums.
  • Support ongoing enhancement of reporting processes, automation opportunities, and analytical capabilities.
  • Maintain reporting procedures, documentation, evidence, and audit trails in accordance with program requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Controls, Technology, and Business teams to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions.
  • Support testing, implementation, and adoption of new reporting capabilities and system enhancements.

Job description

Role Summary

The RCSA Senior Consultant will support the ongoing execution, governance, and enhancement of the RCSA Program, with a primary focus on metrics, data analytics, management information (MI), and reporting.
