Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Ireland is seeking a Rail Systems Lead to provide technical leadership across signalling, telecommunications, electrification and systems assurance on high-profile rail programmes in Ireland.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, coordinate complex interfaces, and work with clients such as NTA and Iarnród Éireann to deliver integrated rail solutions across light rail, metro and heavy rail environments. A Chartered Engineer with strong collaboration skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong systems engineering and integration experience within rail or complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinating interfaces.
• Knowledge of signalling, telecommunications, electrification, traction power, OT or systems assurance.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Experience delivering major transportation projects.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative leadership and development of others.
• Engineering degree (Level 8/9). Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland, ICE, IET or an equivalent professional institution.
• Proactive on technical excellence and continuous improvement.

• Promote technical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across the discipline.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Ireland and the wider AtkinsRéalis Rail community.

As our Rail Systems Lead, you'll provide technical leadership across some of Ireland's most significant transportation programmes. Working for clients including the National Transport Authority, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, Iarnród Éireann and local authorities, you'll help deliver integrated rail solutions spanning signalling, telecommunications, electrification, operational technology and systems assurance. AtkinsRéalis is currently supporting major rail programmes across Ireland, including MetroLink and DART+, and you'll have opportunities to contribute to similarly complex and transformative projects in the years ahead.

About you

• Strong systems engineering and systems integration experience within rail or complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinating complex interfaces.
• Knowledge of one or more rail systems disciplines such as signalling, telecommunications, electrification, traction power, operational technology or systems assurance.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Experience supporting the delivery of major transportation or infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative leadership style and a passion for developing others.
• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline (Level 8 or Level 9 qualification).
• Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland, ICE, IET or an equivalent professional institution.
• A proactive approach to technical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
