Job summary

WSP Ireland is seeking a Design Coordinator to support the Senior Design Coordinator and the wider Design and Engineering team in delivering coordinated design across major infrastructure contracts. You will act as a key contact for technical and design matters, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures while supporting procurement and programme integration.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in the design of major infrastructure projects, including design and construction stages.
• Experience leading teams of discipline engineers during the design phase.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary design deliverables across multiple organisations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain familiarity with design development across contracts including enabling works, civil and structural, and rail systems.
• Collaborate with integration managers to oversee contractor coordination and integration obligations.
• Coordinate input from stakeholder engagement and design teams with statutory and non-statutory stakeholders.
• Support procurement of major infrastructure contracts while considering other core contracts.
• Assist in fostering safety-in-design culture on the MetroLink programme.
• Review designs for technical acceptability during tendering and post award.
• Promote best-for-programme design coordination across interfaces.
• Prepare engineering management plans and quality assurance processes.
