R&D Project Coordinator | Food Manufacturing | Longford (On-site)

I'm currently representing a well-established food manufacturer in the Longford area that is seeking an experienced R&D Project Coordinator to join their team.

This is a technically driven, cross-functional role ideal for someone with 2-3 years' experience in food production, process development, or value engineering. You'll play a key part in identifying cost-saving opportunities, running product and process trials, and collaborating closely with teams across operations, quality, procurement, and finance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate technical projects focused on product, process, and ingredient improvements
  • Design, implement, and monitor trials at production sites
  • Review raw materials and recipes for efficiency and compliance
  • Interpret analytical and food chemistry reports to support decision-making
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure product cost-effectiveness and technical feasibility
  • Prepare and present findings to senior management

Requirements:

  • Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Solid understanding of food chemistry, production processes, and raw material performance
  • Strong grasp of cost management, budgeting, and P&L principles
  • Proficient in Excel and technical report writing
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel within Europe as required
