Job summary

Cpl Group in Swords, Co Dublin, is seeking an experienced AR&D Analytical Chemist on site for a 12-month contract to support development, transfer, qualification and troubleshooting of analytical methods for small molecule APIs and intermediates.

The role will support AR&D laboratories, equipment upkeep, and collaboration with R&D Chemistry, Operations, QA/QC, SHE and external customers while mentoring junior staff to ensure compliant, right‑first‑time manufacture.

Qualifications

• Ideally a BSc/MSc in analytical chemistry or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in analytical activities in pharma manufacturing.
• Strong teamwork, communication and technical writing skills.
• Solid background in analytical chemistry and related instrumentation.
• Ability to work to tight timelines and troubleshoot effectively.
• Open to change and knowledge of FDA/European GMPs in laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out analytical testing for method development, transfer, qualification and investigations.
• Prepare, review and execute analytical protocols and reports.
• Maintain instrument calibration and operability; liaise with senior staff for support.
• Ensure GMP-compliant documentation and right-first-time results.
• Provide mentorship to junior analytical staff and participate in team meetings.
