Job summary

Carlow County Council invites applications for the permanent role of Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will provide the full range of quantity surveying services from Project Inception to Final Account on projects across Roads, Environment and Housing.

The role requires APC Programme alignment and eligibility for registration as a Quantity Surveyor under the Building Control Act 2007, with at least five years’ experience. Driver's licence is required.

Qualifications

• Hold a professional qualification in Quantity Surveying (Building Control Act 2007).
• Eligible for registration as a Quantity Surveyor under the Building Control Act 2007.
• Have at least five years satisfactory experience in Quantity Surveying.
• Possess a high standard of technical training and administrative experience.
• Note: Include relevant examination results with your application to determine eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide the full range of quantity surveying services from project inception to final account on allocated projects.
• Work as part of a team and independently as required.
• Gain exposure to projects across Roads, Environment, Housing, Public Realm, and Infrastructure.
• Operate under the Director of Service, Housing Department, or designated officer.
