Qualifications

Job description

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work within and assist the commercial and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery, maintain relationships, maximize commercial returns, and manage risk.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Implementing the commercial strategy
  2. Supporting the SQS & MQS commercial functions, assisting with and taking responsibility for:
  3. Preparing tenders, analyzing, selecting appropriate subcontractors, negotiating, and finalizing subcontractor orders, and managing financial and commercial aspects to Final Account completion
  4. Site records and document control
  5. Site measurement records
  6. Assisting in the preparation of forecasts, targets, and CVR reconciliations
  7. Performing valuations
  8. Preparing variations with adequate records and details, and agreeing as works progress
  9. Updating projected Final Accounts and submitting them in a timely manner
  10. Liaising with and commercially influencing the site management team
  11. Maintaining and protecting JSS's commercial and contractual entitlements
  12. Understanding and actively participating in CVR processes
  13. Reviewing and considering risks and opportunities
  14. Developing understanding of insurances and warranties
  15. Ensuring good cash management and being actively involved
  16. Supporting tender processes as required
  17. Managing and overseeing AQS & TQS, checking and taking responsibility for their work
  18. Maintaining site records and control documents
  19. Demonstrating clear written and verbal communication skills
  20. Effectively utilizing a range of technology platforms
  21. Being fully conversant with the Standard Method of Measurement
  22. Demonstrating ownership and commercial awareness
  23. Exhibiting effective time management, organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
