Job summary

Conack, one of Ireland's fastest-growing construction companies, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team based in the Limerick region.

You will manage commercial and contractual aspects, prepare budgets, measure subcontractor works, procure subcontractors, and deliver monthly reports alongside Project Managers, Site Teams and Clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and organisational abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial management software
• Experience delivering construction projects in Ireland

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from start to completion
• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts
• Measure and value subcontractor works and prepare interim valuations
• Procure subcontractors and manage the tendering process
• Assess, negotiate, and agree variations and final accounts
• Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to maximise value and control expenditure
• Prepare monthly commercial reports and forecasts for senior management
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, and Clients to support successful project delivery
• Ensure all commercial documentation is maintained accurately throughout the project lifecycle
• Support the delivery of projects safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team, supporting major construction projects based in the Limerick region.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile residential, commercial, healthcare, and industrial developments, taking ownership of the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account while working with an ambitious and growing team.

What You'll Do

Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from start to completion

Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts

Measure and value subcontractor works and prepare interim valuations

What We're Looking For

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline

3-5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry

Experience working on residential, commercial, healthcare, or industrial construction projects

Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and organisational abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial management software

Experience delivering construction projects in Ireland
