Qualifications

• 6+ years of kdb+ and systems engineering experience in a quantitative finance environment, with a strong track record of delivering and operating production data platforms at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own and extend the internal data platform that stores petabytes of research and production data
• Develop and enhance core storage capabilities, including Arrow-backed columnar formats, replication and tiering across AWS and on-prem environments, high-concurrency APIs, and delta‑style append and reconciliation semantics
• Drive throughput and latency improvements across read and write paths, with a focus on correctness, performance, and production reliability
• Design for the concurrency demands of the distributed compute layer, including workloads that generate thousands of concurrent readers
• Write, support, maintain, and test code using strong engineering practices, including unit testing, integration testing, documentation, automation, and CI/CD workflows
• Partner with team members on the direction, design, and architecture of the platform
• Collaborate closely with compute and research teams to ensure the storage layer continues to meet evolving platform and user needs
