Job summary

Boston Scientific in Galway seeks a Quality Technician S2 on a defined term (6 months) to join our team. The role operates on weekends with a 39-hour contract (Sat/Sun 12-hour shifts) with additional hours during the week.

You will uphold the quality policy through sound quality practices, maintain the quality system, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations governing quality systems.

Qualifications

  • NQF Level 6+ in STEM discipline.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a technician in a medical field.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and GMP procedures.
  • Control of non-conforming product and documentation of non-conforming events.
  • Support core team problem solving and continuous improvement investigations.
  • Review and update QA documentation.
  • Support Quality Engineering and Operations functions.
  • Deliver excellent service to internal customers in the production/functional area.
  • Make decisions and work with initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Maintain high attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Escalate safety, environmental or process concerns to management.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Support internal and external audits.

We are seeking aQuality Technician S2 on a defined term (6 months) basisto join our team in our Galway site.


The shift for this position is Weekends, 39 hour contract; Sat/Sun 12 hr shift and make up remaining hours during week.


Purpose

  • You willdemonstrate commitment to the Quality Policy through your daily execution of sound quality practices and the maintenance of an effective quality system and complying with regulations governing the quality system.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance to all applicable regulatory standards and current GMP procedures and practices.

  • Control of non-conforming product and documentation of non-conforming event.

  • Support Core Team Problem solving activities and continuous improvement investigations.

  • Review and update of QA Documentation.

  • To aid and support to the Quality Engineering and Operations function.

  • Deliver excellent service to all internal customers for the production group or functional area in which they work.

  • Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work on one’s own initiative and with minimum supervision is required.

  • Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Communicates any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their manager.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.

  • Support internal/External Audits.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • NQF Level 6 or above in STEM Discipline

  • 2 years experience as a technician within a medical field is essential

  • Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work on one’s own initiative and with minimum supervision.

  • Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
