Job summary

Medtronic plc in Galway, Ireland seeks a Quality Technician III for the evening shift to support the medical device manufacturing quality system.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams, perform quality inspections, review data, and help drive continuous improvement while ensuring patient safety. Candidates with a Higher Certificate and at least two years in a regulated environment will be considered; SAP and Microsoft tools knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Higher Certificate (Level 6 NFQ) in a technical discipline is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a regulated environment (medical device preferred).
  • Knowledge of quality control techniques and practices is essential.
  • Strong communication and attention to detail are important.

Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams to ensure compliance with quality system requirements.
  • Assists in the receive inspection function and across functions to ensure incoming materials meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists in implementing and maintaining product control measures to ensure product quality and patient safety.
  • Reviews quality data, identifies trends and supports problem-solving activities to address quality issues.
  • Supports inspection and testing activities and assists in analysis of product and process performance.
  • Applies methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating raw materials and test equipment.
  • Ensures quality records and documentation are completed accurately and maintained per regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Participates in investigations, providing QA technical direction and solutions as appropriate.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process effectiveness.
