Are you a motivated and experienced team leader looking to advance your career in the food manufacturing industry? We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading food manufacturer, for a Quality Team Leader to join their production team in Naas.

About the Role

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor/Manager, the Quality Team Leader will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of the production line. You will ensure that operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee production line operations and manage operator teams to maximise output and maintain quality.

  • Provide hands-on leadership and motivation to team members, promoting a collaborative and efficient work culture.

  • Ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures (SOPs), food safety protocols, and hygiene standards.

  • Support training, development, and rotation of operators to maintain a flexible, skilled workforce.

  • Monitor and maintain traceability, complete record-keeping, and respond to quality issues in real time.

  • Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality assurance standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the achievement of manufacturing KPIs.

  • Promote and ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety practices in the production area.

  • Liaise with Quality, Shift Supervisors, and other key stakeholders to resolve any issues proactively.

Skills / Experience:
  • 2–4 years’ experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (ideally in food production).

  • Qualification in food science or a related discipline

  • Proven leadership and team management experience.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal English).

  • Strong organisational and project management capabilities.

  • Commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.
