Job summary

Tigers Childcare is seeking a Quality Support Manager to join the Quality, Compliance & Support (QCS) team on a 6-month fixed term contract, supporting a designated hub of centres to deliver high-quality, compliant and child-centred early years and school-aged care.

You will lead quality, practice and compliance across centres, provide guidance on regulatory requirements, and deliver training and coaching to managers and colleagues, with regular travel within the hub and occasional travel

Qualifications

  • Must have Level 8 qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • At least three years’ experience in the early years sector, ideally in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood and school-aged care legislation, regulations and national frameworks.
  • Experience supporting or influencing pedagogical practice and quality improvement.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage work independently.
  • A full, clean Irish driving licence and access to a car.
  • A high level of professional judgement, discretion and commitment to confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Support managers and colleagues to deliver high-quality, inclusive and developmentally appropriate practice aligned with national frameworks.
  • Carry out internal compliance inspections, producing clear reports and supporting action planning and follow-up.
  • Provide practical guidance on regulatory requirements, safeguarding, policies and procedures.
  • Support centres to prepare for and respond to regulatory and external inspections.
  • Deliver training, coaching and professional support to managers and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development and review of organisational policies, procedures and quality resources.
  • Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities to support continuous quality improvement.

As a Quality Support Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening quality, practice and compliance across a group of centres by:

  • Supporting managers and colleagues to deliver high-quality, inclusive and developmentally appropriate practice aligned with national frameworks
  • Carrying out internal compliance inspections, producing clear reports and supporting action planning and follow-up
  • Providing practical guidance on regulatory requirements, safeguarding, policies and procedures
  • Supporting centres to prepare for and respond to regulatory and external inspections
  • Delivering training, coaching and professional support to managers and colleagues
  • Contributing to the development and review of organisational policies, procedures and quality resources
  • Identifying trends, risks and improvement opportunities to support continuous quality improvement

This role involves regular travel within a designated hub of centres and occasional travel outside the hub asrequired.

WhatYou’llNeed to Succeed
Must-Haves
  • A minimum Level 8 qualification (or equivalent) on the National Framework of Qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • At least three years’ experience in the early years sector, ideally in a leadership or management role
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood and school-aged care legislation, regulations and national frameworks
  • Experience supporting or influencing pedagogical practice and quality improvement
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage work independently
  • A full, clean Irish driving licence and access to a car
  • A high level of professional judgement, discretion and commitment to confidentiality
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience supporting services through regulatory inspections
