Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a Quality/Technical Officer for a North Cork food producer. The role is onsite and reports to the Technical Manager.

You will review raw material specs, manage documentation, support BRC/HACCP compliance, participate in internal audits and customer specification processes, and assist with halal/kosher/RSPO related audits as part of a wider quality team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science/Technology or related field.
• Experience in a food production environment.
• Familiarity with BRC, HACCP and retailer food safety standards.
• Experience with retailer specification systems.

Responsibilities

• Review of raw material specs, questionnaires, risk assessments
• Export documentation applications – health & vet certs etc.
• Member of the NPI Team – liaising with NPD, commercial, supply chain production
• Document control review
• Assist in management of BRCGS & customer standard procedures and policies and documentation
• Completion of Customer Specifications
• Partake in customer complaint investigations
• Completion of Internal Audits
• Completion of Hygiene Audits
• Raw Material non-conformance investigations and sign off
• Monthly ATP swab review
• Complete Monthly Quality Review for Operations Meeting
• Customer technical/ quality query investigation and response
• Assist in Halal & Kosher applications & audits
• Assist in RSPO audit

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
• Experience working in a food production environment.
• Knowledge of frozen product processing would be helpful
• Familiarity with BRC, HACCP, and retailer-specific food safety standards.
• Experience with retailer specification systems.
