Quality Nursing Manager – Nursing Home Group (South East Region)

Location: South East Ireland

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

CPL Healthcare is currently recruiting an experienced Quality Manager to lead and support quality, compliance, and governance across a group of nursing homes in the South East region.

This pivotal role involves working closely with Persons in Charge (PICs) and senior management to ensure all services meet regulatory requirements and reflect the organisation’s commitment to high-quality, person-centred care. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer (or delegated person), the Quality Manager will drive excellence through audits, policy development, staff training, and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance to management teams on HIQA compliance and regulatory best practices
  • Lead internal audits, develop corrective action plans, and oversee follow-up activities
  • Support the creation, review, and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Mentor and develop staff, promoting a culture of learning, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee safeguarding practices, risk management, and incident reporting across the group
  • Analyse and report on quality metrics, contributing to organisational planning and development

Candidate Profile

  • Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration (essential)
  • Postgraduate qualification in healthcare management, quality, or clinical governance (essential)
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a quality, governance, or compliance role within healthcare
  • In-depth knowledge of HIQA standards and best practice in person-centred care
  • Proven expertise in audits, risk management, staff mentoring, and policy development
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Full driver’s licence with willingness to travel across multiple sites
