Job summary

Design Build Search in Maynooth is seeking a Senior Quality Manager to lead QA/QC for international pre-construction on commercial projects in Ireland & Europe. You will drive QA/QC during bids, maintain the QMS, and ensure materials meet project specs.

Ideal candidates hold a construction or civil engineering degree with tendering experience, ISO standards knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office and Autodesk BIM 360.

Qualifications

• Construction or Civil Engineering degree required.
• Experience as quality manager on commercial/industrial projects, especially tendering & bid stages.
• In-depth knowledge of QA/QC policies and industry standards.
• Strong technical ability with practical, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify quality requirements for Pre-Construction and incorporate into tenders.
• Lead QA/QC activities during bid stages and audits.
• Maintain and enhance the QMS in line with ISO standards.
• Drive supplier quality and SOP development to support best practices.
• Foster a quality-first culture across project teams and senior management.

Quality Manager - Pre-Construction - Commercial Construction Projects Ireland & Europe

Are you a dedicated Quality Manager ready to take the next step in your career? Our client, a prominent Commercial Construction contractor is seeking a skilled Quality Manager to work as a Senior Quality Manager on the International Pre-Construction Team based in Maynooth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Pre-Construction function for quality such as identifying quality requirements
• Assessing quality requirements and incorporating into tender submissions
• Lead quality assurance activities during the bid stage
• Maintain compliance with ISO international standards
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and client satisfaction
• Quality Management System (QMS): Maintain and enhance the QMS to ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
• Supplier Compliance: Establish and monitor supplier quality standards to ensure raw materials meet project specifications.
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs to streamline processes and support best practices.
• Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA): Manage the CAPA process, driving swift resolution of quality issues.
• Audit Leadership: Lead internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to QMS requirements.
• Communication: Act as the key contact for all quality-related matters, fostering clear communication across teams and senior management.
• Quality Culture: Promote a quality-first mindset, embedding it across the business and project teams.
• Problem Solving: Collaborate with engineers and teams to resolve quality-related challenges.
• Health, Safety & Environmental Standards: Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring alignment with the company’s quality policies.

About You:

• Qualifications: Construction or Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Previous quality manager on commercial and industrial construction projects specifically in the tendering & bid stage
• Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of industry standards, building regulations, and QA/QC policies.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated technical ability with a passion for delivering practical, high-quality solutions.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and experience with Autodesk BIM 360.
