Job summary

Framespace Solutions in Longford is seeking a Quality Manager to own quality across manufacturing and site operations. You will drive the Quality Management System, ensure ISO 9001 compliance, and lead the Quality Technician as production volumes grow.

Based at the Longford facility with nationwide site visits, you will partner with production, design and site teams to raise standards and deliver first-time-right modules for projects across Ireland.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a quality role within construction, manufacturing or engineering, including at least 2 years at manager or lead level
• Hands-on experience implementing or maintaining ISO 9001
• A proven track record in non-conformance management, root cause analysis and CAPA
• Experience with inspection and test plans and quality documentation
• The confidence to challenge and influence at both shop floor and leadership level
• Strong report-writing, organisational and IT skills
• A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to sites nationwide

The Role

We’re looking for a Quality Manager to take ownership of quality across our manufacturing and site operations. The business is at a critical growth stage, with production volumes increasing and our project portfolio expanding. You will make sure our standards rise with that growth, and that every module leaving our facility is one we’re proud of.

This is a hands‑on role, based in our Longford facility, with travel to project sites nationwide as needed. You’ll be visible on the floor, working closely with production, design and site teams, and leading our Quality Technician.

What you’ll be doing

Quality Management System

• Develop, implement and maintain our Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001
• Own quality procedures, inspection and test plans, and work instructions across production and site
• Maintain compliance with relevant product standards and certifications, such as CE marking, EN 1090 and NSAI Agrément
• Carry out internal audits and prepare for external, certification and client audits

Production & Inspection

• Lead in-process and final inspections on the production floor across day and evening shifts
• Manage non-conformances, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions through to close-out
• Work with production supervisors to build quality into the process rather than inspect it in at the end
• Manage incoming material inspection and supplier quality

Site & Project Quality

• Support site installation teams with quality inspections, snagging and handover
• Compile quality records and handover documentation for clients
• Manage customer complaints and defects, and feed lessons back into design and production

Leadership & Reporting

• Lead and develop our Quality Technician
• Monitor and report on quality KPIs, including right-first-time, defects, rework and cost of poor quality
• Report to the CEO and senior leadership team, and advise on quality risks and priorities
• Deliver quality training and toolbox talks to production teams

What we’re looking for

Essential

• 5+ years in a quality role within construction, manufacturing or engineering, including at least 2 years at manager or lead level
• Hands‑on experience implementing or maintaining ISO 9001
• A proven track record in non-conformance management, root cause analysis and CAPA
• Experience with inspection and test plans and quality documentation

• Strong report‑writing, organisational and IT skills

Desirable

• Experience in offsite construction, modular building, steel fabrication or MMC
• Knowledge of EN 1090, CE marking or NSAI Agrément certification
• An internal or lead auditor qualification
• Experience working with multilingual teams
