Job summary

Blackrock Health Hermitage Clinic in Lucan, Co. Dublin, is seeking a Quality Improvement and Clinical Audit Coordinator to lead the hospital-wide clinical audit programme and support quality-improvement initiatives.

The post holder will work with clinical and operational leaders to translate audit findings and performance data into measurable QIPs, develop departmental KPIs, and ensure governance involvement.

Qualifications

• Relevant third-level professional qualification in nursing or health profession.
• Experience with clinical audit and quality-improvement work.
• Ability to develop KPIs, dashboards and quality reports.
• Strong communication and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hospital-wide clinical audit strategy and annual programme.
• Support audits, tracer audits, and re-audit activities; prepare for external assessments.
• Provide coaching on audit design, data collection and reporting.
• Monitor QIPs, escalation of overdue actions and governance reporting.
• Develop and validate departmental KPI descriptors and reporting processes.
• Promote sharing of improvements across departments and with governance committees.
• Contribute to education on quality improvement and collaborative projects.
• Prepare KPI and QIP reports for committee oversight.
• Maintain records of audit tools, datasets and closure evidence.
