Job summary

Sanofi is seeking a Quality Control System Supervisor in Waterford, Ireland, for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role combines quality controls oversight with digital QC solutions, ensuring compliance with Sanofi global processes and regulatory requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will oversee all QC processes and related documentation, provide training and end-user support, and participate in regulatory inspections.

Qualifications

  • Experience in quality control within the pharmaceutical industry, including GMP awareness.
  • Degree in science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and laboratory results for informed decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure testing accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to identify issues and implement effective remediation actions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee QC processes and digital QC solutions in line with global Sanofi standards.
  • Manage local QC documentation and templates to support QC activities and system use.
  • Ensure QC processes are implemented locally and maintained per regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and archiving of QC documentation compliant with global/regulatory needs.
  • Train end-users on QC processes and tools and support audits/regulatory inspections.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in QC processes and tool usage.

The Quality Control system team will have responsibility to oversee all quality processes and digital solutions related to quality control management and to ensure compliance with the Sanofi global processes. The team also supports the delivery of ongoing QC continuous improvement initiatives.

Main responsibilities:
  • Overseeing all quality processes and digital solutions related to quality control management in compliance with the Sanofi global processes and quality control tools
  • Ensuring issuance and approval of all appropriate local quality control documentation, such as local procedures, templates… to support the QC processes and QC digital system usage, in the QC labs, in accordance with the Sanofi global processes.
  • Ensuring quality control processes supported by appropriate procedures are implemented locally and maintained, in line with Sanofi global and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring implementation and maintenance of QC digital solution (core model and local) (including data management and end‑user management)
  • Ensuring archiving of all QC documentation, in compliance with the Sanofi global requirements and regulatory.
  • Ensuring training and support of end-users on QC processes and tools, in coordination with Sanofi global teams
  • Investigating on a timely manner and resolving any quality control events, issues or discrepancies from his/her perimeter. Implementing remediation actions from findings and CAPAs.
  • Providing support during regulatory inspections and audits by presenting QC processes and QC digital solution documents and records
  • Leading initiatives for continuous improvement in QC processes and tools usage, in coordination with QC excellence team.
  • Being representative of the site in the related CoPs led by the global, for the process in his/her scope, and if requested participating in the CoEs, and ensuring local communication.
  • Being representative of QC for the processes led by QMS team at site level
About you
  • Demonstrable experience in quality control within the pharmaceutical industry, including knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Third level qualification (degree in science or related discipline) or appropriate relevant experience supplementing lower grade scientific qualification.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and laboratory results to make informed decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in testing, reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to resolve quality control problems .

The salary range for this position is :€54800,00 - €73067 Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
