Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment in North Cork seeks a Quality/Technical Officer to join a well-established food producer during expansion. This onsite role reports to the Technical Manager.

The role covers raw material control, annual sampling planning, audits, and documentation to maintain BRCGS and retailer standards. You will work with NPD, supply chain and production to ensure that new products launch smoothly.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Food Science/Technology or related field.
• Experience working in a food production environment.
• Knowledge of frozen product processing would be helpful
• Familiarity with BRC, HACCP, and retailer-specific food safety standards.
• Experience with retailer specification systems would be desirable

Responsibilities

• Raw Material control including specs, questionnaires, risk assessments, COA review, and non-conformance investigations.
• Coordinate Raw Material Annual Sampling Plan and testing results.
• Assist management of BRCGS & customer procedures and document control.
• Participate in customer and third-party audits and traceability exercises.
• Complete Customer Specifications and QAS standards, including nutritional verification.
• Prepare Kosher, Halal, RSPO and Rainforest Alliance applications and documentation.
• Be a member of the NPI Team liaising with NPD, commercial, supply chain & production for new product launches.
• Undertake monthly quality control routines including hygiene audits and data for monthly management review.
• Partake in customer complaint investigations.

ROLE

• Raw Material Control - raw material specifications, questionnaires, risk assessments, COC & COA review, non-conformance investigations and sign off.
• Raw Material Annual Sampling Plan - coordinate testing & results
• Assist in management of BRCGS & customer standard procedures and policies and documentation, including document control and review
• Partake in Customer and third-party audits and completion of traceability exercises
• Completion of Customer Specifications and QAS standards, including nutritional verification.
• Completion of Kosher, Halal, RSPO and Rainforest Alliance applications and documentation and assisting in relevant audits
• Member of the NPI Team – liaising with NPD, commercial, supply chain & production to ensure that new products are launched efficiently.
• Undertake monthly quality control routines including; hygiene and internal audits, swab review, prepare data for monthly management review.
• Partake in customer complaint investigations
