Job summary

LMH Engineering Ireland in Arklow is seeking an experienced Manufacturing / Fabrication QA/QC Engineer to join our head office.

You will ensure quality standards across fabrication and manufacturing, collaborating with production, engineering and project teams to meet client specs.

The role requires 5+ years in QA/QC for manufacturing or fabrication, knowledge of EN 1090, ISO 9001, CE Marking, and a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Manufacturing or Fabrication QA/QC role.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of EN 1090, ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Experience with CE Marking and Factory Production Control (FPC).

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections throughout the fabrication process.
• Inspect fabricated steelwork and manufactured components.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with WPS, ITPs and quality procedures.
• Complete QA/QC documentation and inspection records.
• Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Support internal and external quality audits.
• Verify material traceability and certification.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to resolve quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement within manufacturing operations.

Manufacturing / Fabrication QA/QC Engineer

LMH Engineering is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced Manufacturing / Fabrication QA/QC Engineer to join our team at our Head Office in Arklow.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering company delivering large-scale structural steel and engineering projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

The Role

Reporting to the Production Director, you will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the fabrication and manufacturing process. Working closely with production, engineering and project teams, you will help ensure all fabricated products meet client specifications, industry standards and company quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections throughout the fabrication process.
• Inspect fabricated steelwork and manufactured components.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with WPS, ITPs and quality procedures.
• Complete QA/QC documentation and inspection records.
• Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Support internal and external quality audits.
• Verify material traceability and certification.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to resolve quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement within manufacturing operations.

About You

You'll ideally have:

• 5+ years' experience in a Manufacturing or Fabrication QA/QC role.
• Experience within structural steel, fabrication, heavy engineering or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of welding inspection and fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with EN 1090, ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of ISO 3834.
• Experience with CE Marking and Factory Production Control (FPC).
