MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with Ireland's leading professional accountancy body to recruit a Quality Assurance Inspector to cover the ROI region.

The role is remote-based with a requirement to attend client site visits once a week. The ideal candidate has 5+ years post-chartered experience and a focus on delivering high-quality assurance across member firms.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct monitoring visits to member firms.
• Review processes, methodologies and practice activities.
• Review firms' compliance with the Institute's rules and regulations.
• Critically assess work carried out by practice firms including audits, accounting, investment business and AML issues.
• Interview principals and other team members.
• Report on visits with findings and recommendations.
• Add value by recommending quality improvements to firms.

The Benefits

The successful Quality Assurance Inspector can expect to receive the following:

• Salary up to €100,000
• €630 per month car allowance
• Remote based role - Requirement to attend client site visits once a week
• 23 Days (20 days annual leave and 3 concession days. This will increase by one day each year to a max of 25 days + 3 concession days.
• Non-guaranteed discretionary bonus scheme. Payment is dependent on personal performance and is not guaranteed or contractual.
• Pension Scheme - ER matched up to 10%
• Salary Protection Plan which is payable to those on long-term sickness absence of more than 26 weeks.
• Death in service.
• Relevant subscriptions are paid that are related to the role.

The Role

You will have a wide range of duties, such as;

• Conducting monitoring visits to member firms
• Reviewing firm's processes and methodologies in relation to practicing activities
• Reviewing firm's compliance with the Institute's rules and regulations
• Critical assessment of the work carried out by practice firms including judgements made by principals on key issues including audit, accounting, investment business and anti-money laundering issues
• Interviews with principals and other team members
• Reporting on the visit including findings and recommendations to the firms
• Adding value by making recommendations to firms aimed at improving quality
