Job summary

Abbott in Ireland is seeking a Process/Quality Engineer to provide manufacturing quality support at the Cashel Road site in Clonmel, helping ensure delivery of high-quality products. You will work to identify defects, implement CAPA and support product quality plans within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• NFQ Level 7 qualification (or equivalent. Full credits).
• Grade 14: 2+ years relevant experience (or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of quality systems, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Identify manufacturing process defects (scrap, non-conforming material, complaints); perform root cause analysis and suggest corrective/preventative actions.
• Support development of product quality plans, specifications, risk analyses, and FMEA.
• Use process monitoring systems to identify critical steps and reduce process variation.
• Assist product/process improvement efforts using quality metrics and analysis.
• Apply and develop proficiency in quality tools and training materials.
• Participate in validation activities (protocol/report writing, execution).
• Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Participate in Field Discrepancy Notification (FDN) investigations.
