Amazon in Ireland is seeking a Quality Engineer to perform QA/QC reviews, manage design drawings and documents, and ensure regulatory and security compliance. You will work with Engineering, PAC, Security, and Commissioning to build data centers that support AWS customers and maintain high documentation standards.
The role involves coordinating specifications, drawings, and permits, plus training internal and external partners and driving process improvements.
Description
AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
As the Quality Engineer you will perform quality assurance and quality control reviews, track, and manage design drawings, specifications and documents prepared during the engineering design process in order to ensure regulatory, legal, and security compliance.
You will work alongside internal partner teams such as Engineering, Power and Cooling (PAC), Security, Controls, and Commissioning to build Data Centers that directly support our customers. You will also communicate with external stakeholder design consultants.
Note: This is a Fixed Term Contract position for 12 months.
AWS Quality Assurance Engineers have knowledge of the commercial industry design and construction process, experience reviewing technical and contractual documentation, and strong communication skills.
In this role, you will deep dive documentation for completeness, update and create procedures to optimize workflows, and look for improvement opportunities.
As the Quality Assurance Engineer, you will manage the intake of design consultant documentation, review documentation for quality compliance and completeness, and update stakeholders with progress of the final workflow documentation processing. High volumes of documentation review are part of this role and you will need to exercise strong judgement on how to communicate and engage stakeholders through various tools.
We are a collaborative group dedicated to designing and delivering world-class data centers that support AWS customers globally. Our team works across multiple regions and partners closely with engineering, security, and construction teams to ensure every facility meets the highest standards. We're focused on continuously improving how we manage documentation and design processes, and we're looking for someone who shares our commitment to quality and attention to detail. You'll be part of a team that values diverse perspectives and creative problem-solving, working together to solve complex challenges in infrastructure design and delivery.
