With over 25 years of experience in childcare, Kids Inc is one of Ireland's leading providers of Early Years and Afterschool Care. We operate over 70 onsite Breakfast and Afterschool programmes nationwide, alongside our Creche and Preschool services.
We are currently recruiting a Quality Assurance & Compliance Coordinator to join our Head Office team. This is a varied role combining quality assurance, compliance, auditing and operational support, with regular visits to our Afterschool centres.
The Role
As Quality Assurance & Compliance Coordinator, you will carry out regular audits and inspections across our Afterschool services, identify areas for improvement and support our Centre Managers and teams in maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
You will work closely with our Operations team and other Head Office departments to ensure our services meet all relevant Tusla, EHO, Health & Safety and Pobal requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carry out regular internal Tusla, EHO, Health & Safety and Pobal audits across our Afterschool centres.
- Monitor compliance across areas including staff documentation, training, hygiene, infection control, fire safety, risk assessments and accident reporting.
- Prepare clear audit reports, identify areas for improvement and follow up on required actions.
- Support Centre Managers in implementing improvements and maintaining high standards across their services.
- Review key centre documentation, including fire drills, first aid checks, HACCP records and accident and incident reports.
- Support centres with medication procedures, emergency medication and relevant documentation.
- Review and update policies, procedures, Child Safeguarding Statements and other compliance documentation.
- Liaise with Tusla and other relevant bodies where required.
- Work closely with Operations, HR, Inclusion and other Head Office teams to resolve quality and compliance matters.
- Support wider Afterschool operations where required.
What We're Looking For
- Strong knowledge of Tusla regulations and the National Regulatory Framework, particularly within School Age Childcare and/or Early Years settings.
- Familiarity with Tusla and EHO inspections and regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Health & Safety and risk assessment within childcare.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality services.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and recommendations.
- A supportive and confident approach when guiding Centre Managers and teams through required improvements.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach to identifying and preventing compliance issues.
- A full driving licence and access to a car, as regular travel to Kids Inc. centres will be required.
