Job summary

Eurofins in Ireland is seeking a QCL Laboratory Technician to support client site testing, ensuring equipment calibration, reagent preparation, and clean, compliant lab operations. The role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication and adherence to GMP standards in a 39-hour week structure.

The successful candidate will handle stock logistics, documentation, and basic laboratory duties across the client facility, contributing to high-quality results and process compliance.

Qualifications

• GMP knowledge; advantageous with GMP experience.
• Laboratory housekeeping experience in GMP-regulated facility.
• Strong teamwork enabling collaboration across lab/operational teams.
• Strong communication abilities for clear interaction with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Verify and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure balances, pipettes and instruments remain accurate and compliant.
• Prepare chemical reagents according to laboratory requirements for reliable testing.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, sanitise work areas and keep spaces tidy.
• Manage laboratory stock and logistics: replenish consumables, order supplies, and prepare shipments/documentation for external testing.
• Support laboratory operations and colleagues with general assistance across labs.
• Uphold Eurofins standards by completing documentation accurately and following safety and quality procedures.

Job Description

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

This is a full time, permanent position. Working a 39 hour week, Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 17:00 & Friday 08:00 – 16:00.

As a QCL Laboratory Technician serve as a member of the Eurofins QCL group within the client environment to support their technical and analytical tasks, to work to the highest standards in terms of quality and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities that you be covering:

• You will verify and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure balances, pipettes, and other instruments remain accurate and compliant.
• You will prepare chemical reagents according to laboratory requirements, supporting consistent and reliable testing.
• You will maintain laboratory cleanliness by cleaning equipment, sanitising work areas, and keeping both visible and hidden spaces tidy.
• You will manage laboratory stock and logistics through replenishing consumables, ordering supplies, and preparing shipments and documentation for external testing.
• You will support laboratory operations and colleagues by providing general assistance across labs and helping team members as needed.
• You will uphold Eurofins standards by completing documentation accurately, following safety and quality procedures, and ensuring customer requirements are fully met.

Qualifications

What skills, qualifications and experiences you will hold as an QCL Laboratory Technician:

• You will hold a relevant qualification such as an NCEA certificate in a related discipline or an administrative qualification.
• You will have laboratory housekeeping experience ideally gained within a GMP‑regulated facility.
• You will hold GMP knowledge with prior GMP experience considered highly advantageous.
• You will have strong teamwork skills enabling effective collaboration across laboratory and operational teams.
• You will have strong communication abilities for clear interaction with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.
• You will hold the professionalism required for Eurofins standards
