Job summary

Morgan McKinley is recruiting a Microbiology QC Lead/Manager for a leading life sciences organization in Ireland. The role focuses on building readiness for a major facility expansion, establishing high-performing teams, robust systems, and technical capabilities to support long-term manufacturing growth.

The candidate will provide functional leadership, drive continuous improvement, and oversee routine laboratory operations in a GMP-regulated environment, ensuring data integrity and readiness

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's in Microbiology or a closely related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of QC/GMP laboratory experience in biopharma, pharma, or medical devices.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience in a regulated setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QC Micro readiness for facility expansion and qualification of lab instrumentation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop laboratory staff for upcoming milestones.
• Author, review, and approve QA documentation (SOPs, risk assessments, validation reports).
• Drive contamination control via environmental monitoring and testing programs.
• Serve as QC Micro SME; collaborate with QA, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
• Maintain cGMP compliance, ALCOA+ data integrity, and audit readiness.
