Job summary

PE Global is currently recruiting for an Instrument Specialist for a leading multinational pharma client based in Co Tipperary. This contract role reports to the Laboratory Systems Lead and offers the chance to work with a professional team in a modern analytical laboratory using up-to-date technology and QA procedures.

The Instrument Specialist will maintain analytical instrumentation in a validated state, review instrument calibrations, and provide preventive maintenance and calibration

Qualifications

  • Degree in Science (Chemistry, Physics or Life Science) or related experience.
  • Knowledge of GMP standards.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety standards.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Motivated, focused and technically strong.
  • Maintain accurate records in GMP compliance.
  • Understand and apply GMP procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain analytical laboratory instrumentation in validated state to support testing activities.
  • Review instrument calibrations to ensure uptime for all instruments.
  • Provide preventive maintenance and calibration services to maintain instruments.
  • Ensure instruments are maintained in a validated state through PM/PV schedules and vendor coordination.
  • Contribute to Data Integrity across all laboratory systems.

Job description

PE Global is currently recruiting for an Instrument Specialist for a leading multi-national Pharma client based in Co Tipperary. This is a contract position. Role: The position reports to the Laboratory Systems Lead. The position offers the opportunity to work with a team of professionals in a modern analytical laboratory using the most up to date technology and quality assurance procedures. The laboratory operates under Lean principles and employees the use of a wide variety of analytical techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:
  • Maintaining Analytical Laboratory instrumentation in validated state to support testing activities in accordance with site schedules and company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • The Instrumentation Specialist will review instrument calibrations to ensure uptime for all instruments supporting testing activities.
  • Provides a preventative maintenance service to ensure functionality and a calibration service to maintain the instruments according to their working specifications.
  • Ensures that all instruments are maintained in a validated state through a PM/PV schedule and ensuring that this schedule is adhered to by the Instrument group and contract vendors.
  • Be part of a dynamic team responsible for Data Integrity requirements for all computerised and non computerised systems across all the laboratories.
Requirements
  • Applications are invited from candidates who have a degree in Science (Chemistry, Physics or related Life Science) and/or relevant experience.
  • Have knowledge of GMP standards
  • Have knowledge Laboratory safety standards
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong documentation skills are required.
  • Must be motivated, focused and technically strong.
  • To maintain accurate records in compliance with GMP expectations
  • To understand and internalise procedures relevant to GMP operations
